How do I
decide which retreat package is right for me?
That's where our retreat specialists come in. With so many
different modalities to choose from, it's
important to speak with someone who knows the practitioners, knows what
they offer, and has personally experienced the sessions. We'll ask a
lot of questions to determine the exact sessions and practitioners
that are right for you.

Will I be in a
group workshop setting?
Almost all of our retreats are centered around private, one-on-one
sessions, focused exclusively on your
needs, and arranged so that each session builds on those that have come
before. This approach insures
that you get optimal results for the time invested.

How long should
I plan to stay?
Plan to stay a minimum of 4 days, excluding travel time. Guests
spending at least 6 days report the
most significant results. If you would like a more profound
transformative experience, we can arrange
retreats up to 14 days in length. It really depends on your goals!

Any time! In fact, the weather is one of the best things
about being here.

How much does
it cost?
There is no set price. Each SpiritQuest is a personalized
package designed exclusively for the client. We
will quote a price once we've put together a proposed itinerary based on
your individual goals. Private
retreat experiences of 4-5 days will usually range between $1300 and $2500
depending on the length and
exact sessions you choose to include. Meals, accommodations, and
travel expenses are not included.

Where are you
located?
Sessions take place at the relaxing and serene Banyan Tree Inn located in
Up-Country, Maui. This 2.5
acre historic plantation property now serves as a bed and breakfast as
well as a retreat center for
SpiritQuest. Sessions also take place in Makawao and at sacred sites
nearby.

How do I get
there?
You would fly into the Kahalui International Airport and drive a
few miles east on Hana Highway until you
reach the Haleakala Hwy (Hwy 37). Turn right onto Haleakala and drive 5
miles until you reach the
intersection of Halii Maile road. Turn left onto Hailii Maile and drive
another 2.5 miles to Baldwin Ave where
you turn right for the remaining 1.2 miles to the Banyan Tree House Bed
and Breakfast. (Keep an eye out
for a small wooden sign and take a sharp left into the driveway.)
Do I
need a car?
A car is definitely the best way to get around on Maui.
Up-Country is a very small area and with just 2
main roads it's very easy to navigate. You can drive from Makawao to
the beach in approximately
10 minutes.
However, there is another option
available if driving is out of the question. You can utilize the
local taxi
service to get around while you're here.

Where will I
stay?
Many of our guests stay at the Banyan Tree House retreat center/bed and
breakfast located at 3265 Baldwin
Ave, Makawao. The upcountry cottages and suites simply overflow with peace
and Hawaii-ana. Giant
banyan, monkeypod and jacaranda trees create a peaceful, shady oasis
amidst the fruit trees and
flowers. Several swings and hammocks hang from the trees offering
comfortable private places around the
2.5 acre property. The 50' swimming pool and jacuzzi is for the private
use of our guests. A continental breakfast featuring fresh fruit, muffin,
and juice is served every morning.

Where will I
eat?
The nearby towns of Makawao, Kula, and Paia all have many
wonderful restaurants to choose from.

What
should I bring?
Some items will depend on your preferences, of course, but here
are some items that are always useful:
- Comfortable light weight hiking shoes
- A journal to write in
- Sunglasses
- Wide-brimmed hat
- Nalgene water bottle (available at most outdoor stores)
- Bathing suit (there are great beaches all over Maui)
- An open heart and a willingness to make lasting changes
- Definitely bring a camera!

Can I bring
my partner?
Yes! We'll be happy to design a special couples retreat for
the two of you.

Can I
bring a friend?
While it's usually best to come alone and focus exclusively on you
-- away from all distractions -- if your
friend is in the same mindset and also taking a retreat, many guests have
told us that the resulting
synergy gave them a more profound experience.

Can I
bring a pet?
No. The State of Hawaii has a quarantine program for
arriving animals that will keep your pet locked up until
long after you're gone. Therefore, this is not an option.

Will I have
time on my own?
You will be involved in retreat sessions approximately 3-6 hours
per day, leaving you plenty of time to
journal, shop, hike or just relax and take it easy.

How far
in advance do I need to make reservations?
Most people book their retreat reservations 2 weeks in advance.
To make absolutely certain space is
available you'll want to book at least 3-4 weeks in advance.
But... if you really need to come
immediately, go ahead and give us a call. We can often work miracles
with just a few days notice.

How do I make a
reservation? (This policy applies to Maui retreats only)
Just call and give us a credit card number.
If you are booking ten days or
more in advance of your retreat, we require a 50% deposit at the time the
reservation is made. The deposit is your guarantee that the sessions
we've discussed together will be scheduled and reserved. The
remaining balance will be charged 2-3 days before you arrive.
If you are booking less than ten
days in advance scheduling must be expedited; therefore, the full amount
is due at the time your reservation is made.

What if I
need to cancel my reservation? (This policy applies to Maui retreats
only)
If you book more than two weeks in advance, and cancel within 48
hours of making the reservation, your deposit is refundable minus a $50
cancellation fee. After 48 hours the deposit is non-refundable,
however, we can issue you a credit for the amount already paid toward a
future SpiritQuest retreat. To redeem this credit you must book an
identical retreat within one year.
If you are booking your retreat
less than ten days in advance there is an additional expediting fee of
$50. When booking less than 10 days in advance, the full amount must be
paid at the time the reservation is made and NO REFUND is available in the
event of cancellation.
In the event that you are unable
to finish a retreat for any reason, or if you should miss a session during
your retreat, there is no prorated refund.

Do you
offer a payment plan?
Yes! You can make payments on your retreat.
First you must finalize the sessions you want to include in your retreat.
We will then set up an account and you can make payments. You have
the option to decide when you will make payments and how much you want
each payment to be, subject to a $100 minimum payment. Just give us
a call when you are ready to make a payment and let us know the amount.
Once you have paid at least 50% of the total you can
call to schedule at anytime. Provided you give us at least 10 days advance
notice before you arrive, there is no extra charge for using the payment
plan option. However, there is a $50 expediting fee for retreats
booked less than 10 days in advance. In Maui the final
payment must be run a few days before you actually arrive.
NOTE: if you choose to make payments over time,
ALL PAYMENTS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE except the first one, which is refundable
if you cancel within 48 hrs (minus a $50 cancellation fee).
